June was a whirlwind for me! While I missed being in the pulpit, the opportunities I had the joy of participating in were exciting and refreshing. Pre-teen camp, VBS, family vacation, and a mission trip to Honduras kept me moving and thankful!
The second week of July, I visited family in Orange Mon.-Fri., then our family left for the Texas Baptists Convention in McAllen on Saturday, July 15th. This was a special time that I had the joy of helping plan as the chair of the annual meeting committee. The meeting ended on Tuesday, and we spent the rest of the week (until Friday) on a mini-vacation in San Antonio. The end of July brought more time in Llano, which I look forward to seeing continue throughout August!
Two opportunities to serve, and pray for in August include:
- First Blessing – I firmly expect we will give away well over 100 shoes this year!
- Meal teams – meals are being simplified and streamlined so busier folks can help out with less of a time commitment. This ministry “feeds” directly into our children/youth ministries, from which we have seen many baptisms and commitments to Christ as of late!
Blessings,
Pastor Matt
