Meet Our Staff
Pastor
Dr. Matt Richard
Pastor Matt joined our staff in August of 2019. He previously pastored churches in Gatesville and Iredell, TX. Matt completed his undergraduate studies at East Texas Baptist University, and earned both a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Baylor’s George W. Truett Theological Seminary. Matt is married to Michelle Richard, and they have two children: Emily and Luke. Matt believes that his most important job as a pastor is equipping God’s people for ministry in their everyday lives. Matt enjoys good coffee, great books, God’s creation, and his family.

Church Secretary
Dianne Hoy
Dianne serves as our church secretary, receptionist and handles the financial business. She became a part of the church staff in December 1982. She is married to Billy Hoy, and they have one daughter: Sarah. Sarah is married and she and husband, Zach, have produced the highlights of the family, grandsons, Wyatt and Walker. Dianne enjoys reading, keeping her grandsons, and can always be found with a glass of unsweet iced tea nearby.

Family Ministry Leader
Ricky Berry
Ricky joined our staff on September 1, 2023. He was called to ministry at the age of 20 years old in 2007 and began his first ministry in May of 2008. He has served in youth ministry for most of those years as the youth pastor in two other churches before moving to Llano. He currently serves as a deacon in our church and has faithly served in youth and men's ministry at our church. Ricky has been married to Jennifer Berry since 2007 and they have two boys, Bryan & Jacob. His desire is to help all believers, young and old, be equipped to become life-long, fully committed followers of Jesus who own and pursue their unique faith journey.

Custodial & Grounds Supervisior
Shannon Franklin
Shannon Franklin joined the staff at First Baptist as a custodian in 2018. Shannon retired from the Texas Dept. of Transportation after 20+ years of service to the State of Texas. Shannon is married to his best friend Mary Jane and they have two children Amber and Dustin. Shannon loves spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren he also loves the outdoors and just likes to visit with folks over a good cup of coffee.

Director of Music and Worship
Ryan Plumley
Ryan leads the musical aspect of our worship by coordinating with our instrumental and vocal volunteers to ensure our services are inclusive of people's gifts, promote congregational participation, and remain focused on the Lord. He also oversees our use of technology in worship. Ryan initially began serving in this role on an interim basis in 2023, until the Lord led him to continue on as a regular staff member in 2024. You may catch Ryan playing in one of the Hill Country's many great "hot spots" for live music, when his free time allows!

Secretarial Assistant
Angela Grenwelge
Angela joined our staff in the summer of 2023. As secretarial assistant, she oversees visual media content needed for worship. She also helps Dianne with the day-to-day activities involved in running the office. Her greatest asset is her willingness to serve. She often finds herself fulfilling the various demands that fall under the ever vague, but necessary description: "all other duties as assigned." When she and her husband aren't working on their land or with their animals, they enjoy riding motorcycles!

Kids for Christ Director
Clara Watson
Clara began serving in our Kids for Christ ministry as a volunteer, in 2020. Her gifts and passion in this area quickly became obvious, and she was asked to serve as director under our family ministry in 2023. Clara is a "worker bee" that keeps all of the "spinning plates" in our Wednesday night children's program going, and she has mastered the art of getting large numbers of kids to camp efficiently, with minimal craziness! Clara also serves in our worship ministry, and loves singing and playing at various musical venues on the weekends.
