Family, Fellowship, and Ministry

As we begin the fall season, I’m excited about a few things.

I’m beginning a new series through the book of Mark on Sunday mornings. This series will be longer than most others, and will unapologetically emphasize discipleship (growing in God’s love). This is not only part of our stated mission as a church, it is the emphasis of Mark’s simple Gospel. I’m challenged every time I read through this book, as it is impossible NOT to see myself in the antics and failures of Jesus’s first followers. I pray this will be instructive for us as we seek to follow our Lord in 2026.

Our new format for Wednesday night meals and ministry begins on September 2nd. I ask you to be patient as we try something new, and attempt to encourage genuine family-fellowship amongst all who attend this special time. One of the values we hold dear in our church is “family.” Let us remember that this goes beyond providing space/programming for individual family units, and involves ALL OF US actually being family with one another. This is the true meaning of fellowship. 

Revelation 19:6-9 portrays a great multitude from every tribe, tongue, and nation enjoying table fellowship together. If all nations are going to do this in Heaven, surely we can glorify the Lord by striving to do it with all ages!

Lastly, I’m excited for our Sunday Morning Bible study groups that I see being intentional with how they engage the Bible, and one another.. We have wonderful teachers who work hard preparing, and encouraging their group throughout the week. If you have not connected one, I strongly encourage you to do so!
