Church,
I’ve received lots of comments and encouragement over our “Emotionally Healthy Christianity” series. It has been both a challenge, and a blessing to preach through it. If it has a “struck a chord” with you, I encourage you to check out Emotionally Healthy Spirituality, by Peter Scazerro. Our sermon series barely scratches the surface of his material. If you lead a Bible study group, and are interested in exploring it with them, I have group material available. Just let me know!
I ask that you continue to be in prayer for our family ministry as it looks to transition next season. Ricky, myself, and key leaders will be meeting and praying about how this ministry might be reshaped as several leaders transition to different roles/seasons in both our Kids 4 Christ and youth ministries. If you have an inkling to serve in this area in any way, now would be a great time to get in on the “ground floor” of what is next!
On March 4th, I will begin leading a Wednesday night series called “Theology 101.” This was inspired from an interesting encounter with a “visitor” that our Wednesday night co-ed group had that reminded us of the importance of not only knowing WHAT we believe, but WHY we believe it. If you haven’t been attending a Wednesday night group, this would be an excellent time to start!
Blessings,
Pastor Matt
