Sunday, we voted to affirm two members of our church who have been serving in interim and volunteer positions, as permanent staff. As Family Ministry Leader and Kids for Christ Director, Ricky Berry and Clara Watson will work together to create a unified family program that seeks to not only reach students of all ages, but to disciple them and equip their parents to do so, as well!
This was not a direction our church expected to take upon the departure for our previous youth minister, but things begin to fall into place during the interim period. It became clear to many of us that God had not only equipped these individuals for these roles, but that he’d already placed them where he wanted them. All our church had to do was recognize this, and formalize how we believed he was leading us to work alongside them. I’m excited about this development, and ask you to join me in encouraging and supporting their work.
Please take note of all the special Easter events coming up that include a children’s program, Good Friday service, Easter sunrise service, and Easter Sunday. Our worship team has repeatedly exceeded my expectations in including people, and making our services relatable and participatory for all. I know this Easter season, and the special services involved will do the same.
I’m truly blessed to serve alongside such gifted and skilled volunteers and staff at FBC Llano. Thanks for your continued friendship and partnership as we love God and others through service, evangelism, and discipleship!
