Our previous sermon series focused on growing through the various seasons of life. Maybe you are tired of hearing about growth. But here’s the thing – a commitment to growing in the Lord NECESSARILY leads to us being involved in showing and sharing God’s love through our actions and conversations in everyday life.
One of our Bible study leaders has been intentionally reaching out to a couple who live in our church’s vicinity. He helps them with yard work, and has coffee with them regularly. Recently, their conversation turned toward Jesus, and the future of humanity. This leader was able to recommend a book that helped enlighten him and his class on this subject, and it has resulted in Gospel conversations that we are praying will help lead our neighbors to faith in the Lord.
The above scenario would NOT have happened if this leader was not committed to his own, continual growth in the Lord. It is out of this that he has been able to share God’s love in an enlightened way that connected with people.
As we commit to showing God’s love, sharing God’s love, and growing in God’s love – these efforts feed into, and affect one another.
How is God growing you?
