Thank you, Lord, for the rain and the preview of Fall weather to which we have been treated.
Thank you to our personnel committee for the role they have had, and will continue to have in helping us through staff transitions. If you were here Sunday, I shared the decision to appoint Ryan Plumley as Interim Director of Music and Worship. Ryan and the committee have agreed to a six-month interim time for him to fill this position. At the conclusion of it, we will reevaluate how we believe God might be leading him and our church in this area.
Thank you, Ryan, for your willingness to not only serve through your talents and gifts, but also to include others in helping lead the church in worship. Your thoughtful and prayerful planning and organizing are a benefit to us all!
Thanks to ALL for your role in allowing God to bless us with steady, sustainable growth. In the last year, we have had 18 baptisms, 25 other additions, and maintained a weekly Bible study attendance of 94. This would not be possible without God working through SMBS teachers, Wednesday night teachers and servers, media and worship team members, greeters, and many others.
