Season’s Greetings, Church!
As I write this, I’m looking forward to celebrating our church Thanksgiving dinner with you, while also outlining our Christmas sermon series for December. This time of year comes fast and furious from week-to-week, in church life. At any rate, I’m excited to share an upcoming series from the book of Philippians with you, entitled: “The ‘So-What?’ of Christmas.”
In addition to our regular Christmas worship during our Sunday morning services, we have lots of opportunities planned to celebrate: from a children’s choir, to church-wide caroling, to our annual candle-light service. Make plans to join us, and invite others to share in these special opportunities!
As we wind down 2024, I’m thankful for a blessed year of ministry for us, at FBC. God allowed us to baptize 23 individuals, and include 11 others into church membership. We’ve averaged over 100 in Sunday morning Bible study, with increasing numbers of youth/children, and families attending.
Of course, our goal is more than just attendance; it is for each one of us to be involved in showing, sharing, and growing in God’s love, as followers of Jesus. Many of you did so recently through our Operation Christmas Child efforts, enabling us to send over 115 physical boxes, and 51 virtual boxes. Our children’s church leaders led our kids to pack 24 of those physical, our women’s ministry packed 42, and you all, as individuals, took care of the rest. What a blessing to see various groups and people within our fellowship working together for God’s glory!
See you soon!
Pastor Matt
