Being the Body

Church,

It has been a busy and blessed beginning to our Fall season! This past Sunday, I mentioned that many of you had been spread out serving in different ways on Saturday. From our 5K, to encouraging the HS band, to providing food and your presence to a church member who lost his wife – seeing you all be the body of Christ in Llano and beyond is such a blessing!

I want to ask you to pray for some things coming up in the life and ministry of our church.

Xtreme Obedience event – this will be a Gospel-focused opportunity for families to hear and see the Good News creatively portrayed. Pray that hearts are drawn to God’s grace, and that we will be faithful to connect with them.

Deacon Selection – Our deacon screening committee is in the process of meeting with perspective candidates, which our church body nominated. We hope to have individuals presented for approval by November or December business meeting. Pray for discernment for all involved, and that the servant leaders selected will be shining examples of people who love God, and others!

Lastly, I believe our worship has been especially meaningful, lately. Our team works so hard at ensuring that gifts from across our church body are utilized in a way that points us to Jesus. It really is my favorite time of the week. If you haven’t been in a while, I hope to see you Sunday!
