It seems there is much to be excited about. Spring is here. More of you have received vaccines and are getting out and about. And we are looking forward to what should be the highest and holiest day the Church has to celebrate – Easter Sunday! In anticipation of this, we are sending out 1,000 post cards to homes within a 5-mile radius of our church with information about our church’s Easter services. Please check our newsletter for these details.
Even though our “Serve Someone 2021” sermon series is drawing to a close, we aren’t going to quit emphasizing the importance of this part of our mission. I am going to continue to challenge you to consider that one area or person you especially feel called to serve this year. If you have not already done so, grab a service commitment card located on one of the tables at the rear of the sanctuary, and use it as a reminder of how God is leading you to serve during this time.
A final “big ticket” item included in this emphasis is our service fair on April 28th. We will hold it in conjunction with our new member potluck following morning worship. Tables representing several ministries inside and outside of our church will be set up in the gym, and you will be able to get information about them before/after you eat. I appreciate the mission committee’s help in putting this together. Please mark your calendar for this special time as you continue to let God challenge you in regard to service.
